I love music, the way it can effect your mood, drag you out of a bad mood or reinforce the anger or help you to celebrate when you are happy.
I dont think there is any genre that i totally dislike, every style of music has its place in our lives. Saying that, i think there are times when the wrong music in the wrong place irritates the hell out of me. I went down the local newsagents last night and the young girl in there had some really heavy rock playing, it wasn’t exactly background music either. The atmosphere that it created in that little shop was so uncomfortable that i couldn’t wait to leave, and i forgot half the items i went in for. I just couldn’t concentrate with such and angry sound banging in my ears, i was in a good mood and this noise was threatening to bring my mood down. It makes me wonder what must have happened in that girls day, to make her feel so angry that she had to play such angry music at such a high decibel.

This is something I also feel very passionate about. When I’m up, down or anything really. I want to listen to the right music to enhance that mood. That includes when I’m down. If I’m sad the little sadistic part of me wants to relish in the pain and anxiety untill I can truely understand the cause of it and find the solution. I know it sounds weird but until that moment I don’t want happy music that will lift my mood because Ill end up falling back into the slump at the end of the track.
